This unique hospitality project blends two distinct yet complementary spaces: DAMU, a transformative wellness sanctuary rooted in ancient healing philosophies, and CoOc, an exclusive members’ lounge and nightlife venue that fuses art, music, and surrealist glamour. Housed within a reimagined London building, the project creates an immersive journey from serene introspection to avant-garde indulgence—all under one roof.
SPH London was appointed as Cost Managers for the high-end conversion and fit-out of 19–21 Newman Street into a dual-function space comprising DAMU Wellness Sanctuary and CoOc Members Club. The scheme involved complex coordination across acoustic, mechanical, lighting, and finish specifications to create contrasting experiences within a unified building envelope: from the serene, sensory refinement of DAMU to the high-energy, immersive glamour of CoOc. Our scope covered strategic cost planning, contractor procurement, FF&E coordination, risk management, and contract administration. Delivered as an extension to The Mandrake Hotel, the project redefines the boundary between self-care and self-expression in London’s boutique hospitality scene.
